The Automotive industry is constantly evolving and with the added pressures of being environmentally friendly the increase in Hybrid and Full Electric vehicles has been significant. The industry is developing new electric car models all the time as the technology matures so does the market. In the next few years there are many new models to be released. As years progress many of these will filter down into the used car market. Make no mistake Electric vehicles are here to stay.

The UK Government has confirmed it will outlaw the sale of conventional petrol or diesel cars, as part of it's 'Road to Zero' strategy. No new cars or vans powered solely by petrol or diesel will be sold in the UK from 2040. Volvo has announced that by 2020 it will no longer sell pure petrol of diesel cars, instead their range will be either hybrid or full electric.

Hybrids and BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles) are driven by an electric motor that does not need a gearbox and are classed as automatics. In the not too distant future automatics will outnumber manual cars and eventually Hybrids and pure Electric cars will outnumber ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) cars.
